The Lowcountry Gem & Mineral Society meets on the second Thursday of each month (except for July and August & December (Holiday Party!).
Below you’ll find our upcoming presentation calendar, featuring talks and demos from members who love to share their knowledge about rocks, minerals, fossils, and lapidary arts.
We’re always looking for members to present! If you’d like to share your passion, experience, or collection at a future meeting, simply fill out our presentation sign-up form and we’ll get you on the schedule. Don't want to present but have a topic you'd be interested in learning more about? Fill out our topic suggest form!
Not sure what to present? Here are a few ideas to get you inspired:
  • Favorite local collecting sites or field trip recaps
  • How-to demonstrations (e.g., cabbing, tumbling, wire wrapping, casting, silversmithing)
  • Mineral or fossil spotlights — what makes them unique
  • Displaying or caring for your collection

  • Geology of the Carolinas
